Maldives suspends three officials for calling Indian PM Modi a "clown" and a "puppet of Israel"

Malsha Shareef, Mariyam Shiuna and Abdulla Mahzoom Majid were disciplined. The three had variously called Modi a "clown," a "terrorist," and a "puppet of Israel" on social media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted pictures of himself on the tropical island of Lakshadweep. But the photos prompted a personal attack from government ministers in the neighboring Maldives.
