Louisiana lawmakers pass bill criminalizing possession of abortion pills without prescription
The Louisiana state legislature has passed a bill with bipartisan support, classifying mifepristone and misoprostol, commonly referred to as "abortion pills," as controlled and dangerous substances. This move would make Louisiana the first state in the country to do so. The bill is expected to be signed into law by Republican Governor Jeff Landry.
