Las Vegas Politician Sentenced to 20 Years to Life in Killing of Investigative Reporter

Robert Telles, a former Democratic public administrator, was found guilty of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of investigative journalist Jeff German. Telles was accused of killing German, who had written about turmoil in Telles' office, outside his home in September 2022. The jury deliberated for nearly 12 hours over three days after hearing eight days of evidence in the trial, which began on August 12. Prosecutor Steve Wolfson stated that "justice has been served" following the guilty verdict.
