LA Police Charge Five in Connection to Matthew Perry's Ketamine-Related Death
Matthew Perry, a star of the popular TV show "Friends", died of an accidental ketamine overdose. An investigation led to the indictment of five individuals, including two doctors and an assistant, who allegedly took advantage of Perry's addiction issues to enrich themselves. The defendants are accused of creating an underground network to distribute ketamine, a potentially deadly drug. One doctor was quoted in a text message as saying they wanted to "find out" how much Perry would pay, suggesting a profit-driven motive. Three of the defendants have reached a plea agreement, while the others are still facing charges. The US Attorney described the defendants as prioritizing profit over Perry's well-being. A key figure in the case is Jasveen Sangha, known as the "Ketamine Queen", who is reportedly part of the criminal network that supplied ketamine to Perry.
We're talking about two doctors who abused the trust they had, abused their licenses to put another person's life at risk.
These defendants took advantage of Mr Perry's addiction issues to enrich themselves. They knew what they were doing was wrong. They knew what they were doing was risking great danger to Mr Perry, but they did it anyway.
