Kirsty Coventry elected IOC president in historic first-round victory

Kirsty Coventry has been elected as the new president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), becoming the first woman and first African to hold the position. She won the election at the Costa Navarino resort in Greece, beating out other contenders including Sebastian Coe and Juan Antonio Samaranch Junior.
