Kenyan Protesters Clash with Police Amid Calls for President's Resignation

Kenyan activists, leading weeks-long protests, have called for a nationwide "total shutdown" on Tuesday. Protesters are demanding the resignation of President William Ruto, citing misgovernance, corruption, and the deaths of dozens of protesters as reasons. The demonstrations, which began five days after Ruto dismissed most Cabinet ministers, resulted in businesses in Nairobi remaining closed due to fears of looting. Major roads, including the Nairobi-Namanga highway, were also blocked by protesters.
