Kenya Police Confirm Escape of Suspected Serial Killer from Custody in Nairobi

Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, a 33-year-old man, is accused of murdering 42 women. He was arrested on July 15, but escaped from a Nairobi police station along with 12 other inmates of Eritrean nationality. The escape occurred when the inmates cut through a wire mesh roof and scaled the perimeter wall. An investigation into the escape is ongoing, and eight police officers who were on duty at the time of the escape have been arrested. The police inspector general has stated that disciplinary measures have been taken and that anyone found culpable will face the full force of the law.
