Kabosu, Beloved Canine Behind 'Doge' Meme, Passes Away

Kabosu, a Shiba Inu rescue dog, passed away at an estimated age of 18. Her real birthday was unknown. Kabosu gained internet fame as the face of the popular "Doge" meme, which originated from her adorable facial expressions. The meme's popularity led to the creation of Dogecoin cryptocurrency. Despite her online fame, Kabosu had been suffering from leukaemia and liver disease before her death on May 24th. Her owner, Atsuko Sato, described her as "the happiest dog in the world" and remembered her passing as if she was asleep while being caressed.
