Japan's Moon lander survives two-week lunar night
According to multiple reports from Japan's space agency JAXA, their unmanned moon lander named Slim (Smart Lander for Investigating Moon) has woken up after a two-week lunar night. Upon waking up, Slim carried out scientific observations using a high-spec camera in the crater where it landed. The cause for the lander's revival was the shifting angle of the sun, which provided enough light for the solar panels to generate power.
