Israeli military admits professional failures over Gaza paramedic killings
The Israeli military has acknowledged "professional failures" and breaches of orders in the killing of 15 rescue workers, including eight Red Crescent paramedics, six civil defense workers, and a UN staffer. The incident occurred on March 23 near the southern Gaza city of Rafah, and the bodies of the victims were not discovered until days later, buried in a sandy mass grave alongside their crushed vehicles. A review into the killing found that the Israeli troops involved engaged in an "operational misunderstanding", leading to the deaths of the emergency responders.
