Israeli authorities recover bodies of five hostages from Gaza

The bodies of five individuals, including a 56-year-old kindergarten teacher and four soldiers, were recovered from the Gaza Strip. Maya Goren, a kindergarten teacher, was killed in the kibbutz of Nir Oz during a Hamas-led attack on October 7. The four soldiers, Tomer Ahimas, Kiril Brodski, Ravid Aryeh Katz, and Oren Goldin, were also killed in the same attack. Three of the soldiers were reservists, while one was a conscript. The bodies of the five individuals were retrieved from the area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, where Israeli forces had launched new raids. The military and an Israeli campaign group confirmed that the five had been killed by Palestinian militants on the day of the attack.
