Israeli Report: Systematic Rape and Abuse During Hamas Attack

According to various reports, there were allegations of widespread and systematic sexual violence against Israeli civilians during and after the Hamas-led attack on October 7. The Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel found evidence of "systematic and intentional" rape and sexual abuse during this time. Many incidents involved gang rapes, some of which resulted in murder. The bodies of male and female victims were reportedly severely mutilated. The reports conclude that these attacks were more widespread than initially thought. Hamas has denied its gunmen committed such acts of violence against women. In response to these allegations, Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 29,300 people.
