Israeli Hostage Describes Sexual Assault During Gaza Captivity

Amit Soussana, a 40-year-old woman, was abducted from Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7, 2023. Security footage showed her resisting her captors. According to Soussana's account, she was subjected to various forms of abuse during her captivity in Gaza. She was beaten, chained by the ankle, and forced to perform sexual acts under threat of a gun. The U.N. report released later found "clear and convincing information" that some hostages experienced "conflict-related sexual violence." Soussana's abduction involved at least ten men.
