Israel's Gaza Offensive Sparks Warnings of Sanctions from UK, France, and Canada

The European Union (EU) has announced a review of its trade relations with Israel, specifically its trade partnership, in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. EU foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas stated that the situation in Gaza is "catastrophic" and that the aid allowed in by Israel is insufficient. The review is a result of calls for stronger action from EU member states, with a "strong majority" of 27 member states supporting the move. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot welcomed the decision, while Israel has stated that external pressure will not divert them from their path in defending their existence and security.
