Israel returns to Eurovision contest following lyric modification
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has approved Israel's entry, "Hurricane," for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Originally titled "October Rain," the song was submitted by Eden Golan but was initially barred due to violating rules on political neutrality. Israel's public broadcaster, Kan, agreed to make necessary adjustments following a call from the president, and the amended version of the song will be unveiled this weekend. The original lyrics were believed to reference the Hamas attacks of October 2000, but the revised title and content have not been disclosed yet.
