Israel Surrounds Two More Hospitals in Gaza, Palestinian Red Crescent Reports
The Israeli military has surrounded and raided several hospitals in the Gaza Strip, according to various reports. The hospitals in question are Al-Shifa, Al-Amal, and Nasser hospitals in Khan Younis. The Israeli forces allege that these hospitals have been used as strongholds for Hamas militants and harbor bases and weapons.
Israeli forces have detained approximately 480 alleged fighters affiliated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad during the raids on these hospitals. The Israeli military is still operating at al-Shifa hospital, which is Gaza's largest.
Palestinian sources claim that Israeli forces suddenly surrounded both Al-Amal and Nasser hospital, and the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned against committing "massacres" in hospitals in Khan Younis.
There are conflicting reports regarding the use of hospitals as strongholds for militants, with Hamas denying using the facilities for military ends.
