According to the official IRNA news agency, Iran has downplayed the significance of the airstrikes, claiming they caused only limited damage. The airstrikes, carried out by scores of Israeli jets, consisted of three waves of strikes before dawn. A debate has been sparked inside Iran regarding whether the Israeli attack warrants a military response, but for now, Iran has stated that no immediate military response is planned.
