Narco Submarines Interception
International cooperation leads to record-breaking drug bust, seizure of 225 tons of cocaine and discovery of new trafficking route to Australia
Recent global anti-drug operations have led to significant seizures of illicit substances. Between October 1 and November 14, 62 countries jointly captured over 1,400 metric tons of drugs. The Colombian Navy successfully intercepted three semi-submersible vessels used for cocaine trafficking in the Pacific, resulting in the confiscation of 225 tonnes of cocaine and marijuana, as well as the arrest of over 400 individuals. This seizure marks a significant blow to Latin America's cartels.
