Informal US delegation to visit Taiwan after elections

Taiwan's president-elect Lai Ching-te has received a delegation from Washington. The unofficial delegation was sent by U.S. President Joe Biden's administration to meet with leaders as voters on the self-ruled island defied Beijing's repeated calls not to elect Lai, and Beijing insists the vote does not change the fact that the island is part of China.
