Indonesian rescuers save 69 Rohingya refugees from capsized boat
On March 21, at least 69 Rohingya refugees were rescued from a capsized boat off the coast of Indonesia. The group had been at sea for an extended period, having originated from squalid camps in Bangladesh. According to different reports, there were contradictory accounts regarding fatalities, with some sources stating that no deaths occurred, while others suggested that people may have perished during the incident. Previously, 75 individuals were reportedly saved from the same vessel. It is estimated that approximately 150 Rohingya refugees had been on the boat before it capsized.
