Indian opposition figure arrested over corruption claims ahead of general election

Arvind Kejriwal is the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and current chief minister of Delhi. He is currently being investigated by India's financial crime agency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), over allegations that an alcohol policy implemented by the Delhi government in 2022 gave undue advantages to private retailers. The AAP's finance minister has denied any wrongdoing and accused the agency of attempting to quash the arrest.
