Indian Scholar's Deportation Blocked by US Judge Over Alleged Hamas Links

Badar Khan Suri, a postdoctoral researcher from Jamia Millia in Delhi, was detained on Monday by the Trump administration. He is being held pending deportation proceedings. The government claims that Suri's father, Ahmed Yousef, is a senior political advisor to Hamas, but Suri's lawyer argues that there is no evidence of his involvement in criminal activity. Suri's lawyer filed an emergency court request to prevent his deportation, which was granted by US district judge Patricia Giles.
