India launches its first mission to study the sun after historic moon landing
India launches first sun-focused space mission, adding to lunar landing win. The spacecraft, called Aditya-L1, launched from Sriharikota, an island off the Bay of Bengal. It's headed to a parking spot in orbit about 930,000 miles from Earth.
