Icelandic volcano erupts for fourth time in three months

There have been reports of a volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland. According to multiple sources, including the Icelandic Met Office and the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management, lava has been spewing from a new volcanic fissure. The exact location of the fissure is being determined by helicopter, with reports suggesting it is about three kilometers long and runs from Stora-Skogfell towards Hagafell. The lava appears to be flowing in different directions, with some reports indicating it is moving north towards Grindavik, while others suggest it is flowing south. The town of Grindavik and the famous Blue Lagoon are currently under evacuation due to the threat posed by the advancing lava. Live video footage shows glowing lava and billowing smoke at the eruption site.
