Multiple eruptions have occurred in southwest Iceland since December, with the most recent taking place at the Sundhnuksgigar volcanic fissure. This event occurred on the Reykjanes Peninsula and was marked by a fissure approximately 3 kilometers long. The eruption's size is reported to be smaller than the previous one, with air traffic unaffected. The volcanic activity was anticipated due to preceding earthquakes.
