Hungarian parliament passes bill banning Pride events

A Hungarian law was passed that bans Pride events and authorizes authorities to use facial recognition software to identify attendees. The law was pushed through in an accelerated procedure due to the ruling coalition's two-thirds majority in parliament. Attending a prohibited event is punishable by fines up to 200,000 forints ($546).
