Hundreds of thousands sign Danish petition to buy California

A group of Danes has initiated a satirical proposal to purchase California for $1 trillion, aiming to infuse the state with a Nordic influence known as "hygge". The petition, which has garnered over 200,000 supporters, suggests each of the six million Danish citizens contribute a sum of $23,000. The tongue-in-cheek proposal humorously states that gaining additional tech entrepreneurs would be beneficial to democracy.
