Houthis Claim to Break Up US-Israel Spy Network in Yemen
The Houthi intelligence agency in Yemen has announced the arrest of a spy network, claiming it was linked to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and operated out of the US embassy in Sanaa. The arrests were made days after 11 UN staffers were detained by the Houthis. According to the Houthi authorities, the spy network had infiltrated Yemen's government and military, with some members even holding high-ranking positions. The Houthi security wing has released videotaped confessions of 10 Yemenis allegedly involved in the spy ring, claiming they were recruited by the CIA and worked to undermine the Houthis' authority. The group also accused the US and Israel of being behind the espionage operation. It is worth noting that while the Houthi authorities have made these claims, there has been no official confirmation from the US government or the CIA regarding the existence of such a spy network.
