Hospitalized Pentagon chief Austin cancels trip to Brussels for NATO, Ukraine meetings

Lloyd Austin, the US Secretary of Defense, has been admitted to Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Washington DC for a third time in three months due to an "emergent bladder issue." This issue is related to his ongoing battle with prostate cancer. Austin had previously undergone surgery for the cancer in December 2021 and was hospitalized again in January to manage complications. He was scheduled to travel to Brussels to meet with NATO ministers and discuss Ukraine military aid, but this trip has been cancelled due to his current health situation. Doctors do not anticipate a prolonged hospital stay for Austin's latest admission.
