High-speed train collides with fire truck in Florida, injuring 15 people

A collision occurred between a fire truck and a high-speed passenger train in downtown Delray Beach at approximately 10:45 a.m. The fire truck bypassed lowered rail crossing arms and entered the path of the train after a goods train had passed. This suggests that the driver of the fire truck chose to drive around the crossing arms despite their being lowered. The train's front was severely damaged as a result, with the fire truck's ladder being torn off and left several yards away.
