Harvey Weinstein Undergoes Emergency Heart Surgery

Harvey Weinstein, a 72-year-old former film producer, has been hospitalized for emergency heart surgery after experiencing chest pains over the weekend. He was taken from Rikers Island jail in New York to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, where he underwent a procedure to remove fluid from his heart and lungs. This is the second time in two months that Weinstein has been hospitalized, and he is scheduled to appear in court for a retrial in the near future. Weinstein was previously convicted of rape and sexual assault in 2020 and sentenced to 23 years in prison.
