Hamas official says no one has any idea how many Israeli hostages remain alive

According to various sources, including CNN and a senior Hamas official, Osama Hamdan, it is unclear how many of the approximately 120 remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza are still alive. Hamdan stated that "no one has an idea" about the number of surviving hostages. In contrast, Israel claims that at least a third of the remaining hostages have died. The militant group Hamas's Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades reported on Telegram that two more Israeli hostages were killed in recent days due to an Israeli airstrike. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the need for haggling to stop in order to reach a peace deal.
