Germany recalls ambassador from Iran in protest of execution of German-Iranian national Jamshid Sharmahd

Jamshid Sharmahd, a 69-year-old German-Iranian dual national, was executed in Tehran on charges of plotting attacks in Iran. He had been held prisoner since 2020, accused of being the ringleader of the Tondar group, a terrorist organization.
