German Chancellor Scholz Concludes China Visit

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited China from Sunday to Tuesday, making this his second trip since assuming office. During his visit, Scholz stopped in the cities of Chongqing and Shanghai before meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. The diplomatic encounter between the two leaders reportedly involved some challenging negotiations regarding various international issues, including the situation in Ukraine. Scholz expressed his hope that Germany and China could contribute to achieving a "just peace" in Ukraine.
