Fuel tanker explosion in Haiti kills at least 24 people

A fuel truck explosion occurred in Haiti's southern peninsula, resulting in the deaths of at least 24 people. The incident occurred when the truck collided with another vehicle and began leaking fuel, which people were attempting to collect. The explosion happened near the commune of Miragoane, approximately 60 miles west of Port-au-Prince. The injured were taken to Sainte Therese Hospital in Miragoane, with 19 victims suffering severe burns to be transferred to specialized hospitals in Port-au-Prince. The government described the incident as "horrible".
