Frenchman Returns to France Following Reprieve from Indonesian Death Row

Serge Atlaoui, a 61-year-old individual, has been on death row in Indonesia since 2007 for drug-related offenses. He departed from Indonesia on February 4, flying from Jakarta to Paris via Amsterdam. Atlaoui is scheduled to be transported from the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport to court and then to jail, where he will await a decision on his case. Jakarta has handed over Atlaoui's case to the French government, allowing France to grant clemency, amnesty, or a reduced sentence.
