French authorities arrest suspect in connection with fire attack on synagogue

A 33-year-old Algerian man suspected of attempting to set a synagogue ablaze in La Grande-Motte, France has been detained by police. The arrest was made after a large-scale manhunt involving approximately 200 police officers, who were initially searching for a man seen draped in a Palestinian flag. The incident occurred at the Beth Yaacov synagogue complex, where two cars were set on fire just after 8:00 am.
