French Journalist Detained in Ethiopia Accused of "Conspiracy to Create Chaos"

Antoine Galindo, a 36-year-old journalist, has been in detention in Ethiopia since February 22 after being arrested at the Ethiopian Skylights Hotel in Addis Ababa. The reason for his arrest is unclear, but it occurred while he was meeting with an official from Thailand and interviewing Bate Urgessa, a spokesperson for the Oromo Liberation Front. Galindo's legal team has stated that the accusations against him are baseless and lack tangible evidence.
