French Far Right Seeks Absolute Majority Despite Polls

Marine Le Pen's National Rally (RN) achieved a significant success in the first round of French legislative elections, securing 33% of the popular vote. This was ahead of the leftwing alliance with 28% and a centrist group with 11%. However, a recent poll suggests that RN may fall short of winning an absolute majority in the second round, despite being ahead in the first round.
