France to Deliver Old Armored Vehicles and New Missiles to Ukraine

According to various reports, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu has announced that President Emmanuel Macron has asked him to prepare a new aid package for Ukraine. The package is expected to include hundreds of VAB front-line troop carriers to be delivered in 2024 and early 2025. Additionally, France will provide Ukraine with old armored vehicles and new surface-to-air missiles. Lecornu stated that the Ukrainian army needs to defend a long front line and that France will also provide more anti-aircraft missiles. It is worth noting that the French military is currently in the process of replacing its own old VAB armored personnel carriers. These reports come as the French government is pushing its military industry to increase production.
