France Releases Scratch-and-Sniff Baguette Postage Stamps
The French postal service, La Poste, has released a new stamp featuring an image of a baguette wrapped in tricolor ribbon. According to multiple sources, including "La Poste unveils baguette decorated with blue-white-red ribbon" and "the stamp depicts a baguette decorated with a red, white and blue ribbon", the stamp features a cartoon image of a baguette adorned with the French national colors. The ink used on the stamps contains microcapsules, which provide an additional sensory experience for the user. The stamp is intended to be used for international letters weighing up to 20 grams, and has a print run of 594,000 copies. Despite some minor variations in wording between sources, all articles agree that the stamp features a baguette with a red, white, and blue ribbon, and shares the same print run and weight limit.
