France Arrests Man of Ukrainian-Russian Nationality Following Explosion at Hotel Near Paris

A 26-year-old man, of Ukrainian-Russian nationality, was treated by a fire brigade after suffering significant burns in a hotel room north of Paris. The incident occurred on Monday evening and led to the discovery of products and materials intended for manufacturing explosive devices. The man is being held by France's domestic intelligence agency and is still undergoing questioning by police. An initial search of his hotel room found the suspicious items, which were later confirmed to be related to explosive devices. France is currently on maximum threat alert with less than two months until the start of the Paris Olympics.
