Four US Instructors Stabbed in Public Park During Visit to Northeast China

A group of four US college instructors from Cornell College in Iowa, who were teaching at Beihua University in northeastern China, were stabbed while visiting a public park in Jilin province. The incident occurred during the day and the extent of their injuries is unclear. According to reports, the group had been visiting a local temple when they were attacked by a man wielding a knife. One of the victims' brothers, Iowa Representative Adam Zabner, confirmed that his sibling was among those injured. A video circulating on Chinese social media shows people lying on the ground in a park covered in blood, purportedly showing the aftermath of the attack.
