Four IS leaders killed in Iraq raid

US and Iraqi security forces conducted a joint raid in western Iraq, resulting in the deaths of four leaders of the Islamic State (ISIS). The operation, which took place on August 29, also killed 10 additional ISIS operatives, bringing the total number of fatalities to 14. US military officials confirmed the deaths of the four leaders, identified as Ahmad Hamid Husayn Abd-al-Jalil al-Ithawi, who was reportedly the operations leader for ISIS in Iraq. The raid was designed to disrupt and degrade ISIS's ability to organize and launch attacks in the region. Five US troops were wounded, and two were injured in falls, during the operation.
