Former Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh has died at the age of 92
Manmohan Singh, India's first Sikh prime minister, has passed away at the age of 92. According to reports, Singh lost consciousness at his home and was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, where he was pronounced dead at 9:51 pm local time.
Singh, who served as prime minister from 2004 to 2014, was widely regarded as the architect of India's economic reform program. He is credited with introducing key liberalizing economic reforms.
