Former BBC presenter Huw Edwards pleads guilty to making indecent images of children

Huw Edwards, a 62-year-old former BBC news presenter, has pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children. He resigned from the BBC in April on medical advice, six months after being arrested. Edwards faces a maximum prison sentence of 10 years and a minimum of 12 months. He has been remanded on bail until a pre-sentencing hearing on September 16, where he will be sentenced. The charges relate to 41 still or moving images of children. Edwards was the BBC's highest-paid news presenter before his resignation.
