Former Arsenal player charged after £600,000 of cannabis seized at Stansted airport

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, a 33-year-old former professional soccer player, has been arrested and detained by police in connection with a significant cannabis seizure. According to reports, the National Crime Agency (NCA) seized 60kg of class B drugs, valued at £600,000, from suitcases at Stansted airport. Emmanuel-Thomas, who has played for clubs including Arsenal, Aberdeen, and Livingston, was arrested by NCA officers and appeared in court in Carlisle, where his bail was denied.
