Five people killed in small plane crash near Nashville interstate

At approximately 7:44pm local time on Monday, a single-engine plane encountered engine problems and requested an emergency landing at John C Tune airport in Nashville. Tragically, all five people aboard the plane were killed when it crashed near a highway before reaching the airport. According to different reports, the pilot made an emergency call around 7:40pm, reporting engine trouble. Subsequently, he informed authorities that the aircraft would not make it to the airport.
