Fire at Bangkok Market Kills Over 1,000 Animals

The recent fire at Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok has resulted in significant damage and loss of life. According to initial reports, approximately 118 shops were destroyed, with an estimated 1,300 square meters of the market ravaged by the blaze. The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault, although authorities are still investigating the exact cause. Tragically, hundreds of caged pets were killed in the fire, including dogs, cats, birds, snakes, rabbits, fish, and chickens. The market, one of the largest in Southeast Asia, attracts tourists from around the world to its shops.
