Fast-paced wildfire rages in Malibu area

A wildfire, known as the Franklin fire, has broken out in California, with over 20,000 residents receiving warnings to evacuate. As of Wednesday morning, the fire had grown to more than 6 square miles and was being battled by over 1,500 firefighters. Strong winds are complicating the efforts to stop the blaze, with forecasters predicting an improvement in weather conditions later in the week. The fire has destroyed seven structures and damaged eight others, with nearly 3,900 acres burned. Fire officials note that the deep and rugged terrain, combined with strong winds and low humidity, pose significant challenges for firefighters.
